Book: Belgarath - The Sorcerer
Authors: David & Leigh Eddings
Book Review
I just finished reading this book for the umpteenth time. Its a great read. So engrossing. Its treated as a prequel to Belgariad and Mallorean Series. I would highly recommend these books to any fan of epic fantasy. Even as a stand alone book... All characters are well defined and as I read each book I grew to love all the characters. Belgarath and Polgara - father and daughter team. Silent sentinels.
By the way I have read all the books by David Eddings :) There are a few things that I would have loved to know though.
Who was Poledra? It has been mentioned that she wasn't just a wolf and maybe she and Aldur had met before Belgarath came in the picture. Even Belar seemed to know her. What was her story? How did she become the Child of Light?... I would have loved to read a book about her...
And what became of Beldin? Did he live as a hawk for the rest of his days?
I was really sad to find a good character such as Belmakor killed off soo quickly. His character could have been developed alot...
Sadly David Eddings passed away in 2009. It was a great loss.
